LDAK Receives $11,110 Grant from the Community Foundation for Kingston & Area

LDAK is very pleased to announce that we have received a $11,110.00 grant from the Community Foundation for Kingston & Area to support the upcoming launch of the LDAK Literacy pilot project!

This new initiative will offer free or low cost one-on-one literacy tutoring following the Science of Reading method. This program is specifically designed to improve literacy levels of elementary students who have dyslexia or significant reading challenges.

Helen Simson, President of the Learning Disabilities Association of Kingston notes, "This new funding from CFKA demonstrates once again what a wonderful partner the Foundation is for community-based service organizations like ours. You can learn more about their important contributions to the Kingston community by visiting www.cfka.org."

LDAK is excited to launch this important initiative to reach students in Kingston with effective literacy tutoring and to provide training for local tutors based on the Science of Reading.

Further details including program launch date and eligibility criteria to come. Thank you CFKA for your generous support.
