Get Involved
Like many charitable organizations, the Learning Disabilities Association of Kingston (LDAK) does not have ongoing core funding. We rely on the generosity of people like you to help us make a difference. Your donations allow us to provide advocacy, education and support services to children, youth and adults with learning disabilities in the community.
I want to support LDAK's work in our community.
You can donate online -- pay by credit card, PayPal, debit card, or Gift Card. Did you know that you can also donate securities to LDAK that may provide you with some income tax benefits (see CanadaHelps Donate Securities and Mutual Funds page). Click on the 'Donate Now' button above or CanadaHelps.org which will take you to the secure donation page. An electronic charitable tax receipt will be emailed to you after you complete the donation process.
I'd prefer to send a cheque.
You can send us a cheque with your donation, and we will mail you a charitable income tax receipt for donations over $10. Just print and fill out the donation form (opens in a separate window).
Membership
We encourage all individuals interested in learning disabilities to become a member of the Learning Disabilities Association of Ontario (LDAO), and by doing so automatically become a member of Kingston chapter (LDAK).
You will find the online membership form at the LDAO website. Just fill out the form and submit your payment information on the secure site. Please specify your chapter affiliation as "Kingston".
If you prefer to pay by cheque you may fill out and print the membership form and mail it to us.
Become a Volunteer
Volunteers are always welcome. Please contact us if you would like to discuss possible opportunities.
Board members needed:
We're actively seeking board members and would especially welcome individuals who have marketing or fundraising experience. The board meets (online) once a month from September through June. For further information, contact LDAK at 613-546-8524 or ldak@ldakingston.com.
